Terms of Service

ConfigMesh is a service provided by Digital Vibes (David Mohl) ("we", "us", or "our"). We provide a macOS application and cloud service that allows you to sync, encrypt, and backup your configuration files. The service includes:

• End-to-end encrypted file synchronization
• Configuration file versioning and history
• Web dashboard for file management
• Cross-device sync capabilities

• You must provide accurate account information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One person or legal entity per account
• You must be 13 years or older to use ConfigMesh
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• You are responsible for safeguarding your encryption passphrase

Free Trial: Limited features and storage

Pro Subscription: $5 per month or $50 per year with enhanced limits and features

• Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or annually
• Cancel anytime through your account settings
• No refunds for partial billing periods
• Pricing subject to change with 30 days notice

You agree NOT to use ConfigMesh to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Store or distribute illegal content
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware or harmful code
• Abuse or overwhelm the service infrastructure
• Bypass usage limits through multiple accounts
• Share your account with others

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

• Storage limits apply based on your subscription tier
• Excessive usage may be throttled
• We reserve the right to limit accounts abusing the service
• File size limits may apply
• Self-hosted option (when available) has no storage limits from us

• You retain full ownership of your configuration files
• You grant us license to store and transmit your encrypted files
• You are responsible for your content and its consequences
• You must ensure you have rights to all files you sync to the service
• We cannot decrypt your files without your passphrase
• Loss of your passphrase means permanent loss of access to your encrypted data

IMPORTANT: ConfigMesh uses end-to-end encryption.

• You are solely responsible for remembering your encryption passphrase
• We cannot recover lost passphrases
• Lost passphrases result in permanent loss of access to your encrypted data
• We are not liable for data loss due to forgotten passphrases
• We recommend securely backing up your passphrase separately

The ConfigMesh service, including all software, design, and content (excluding your content), remains our exclusive property. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our software
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the service
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Remove any proprietary notices

• We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uptime
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible
• We may modify or discontinue features with notice
• Emergency maintenance may occur without notice
• We are not liable for service interruptions

The service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not liable for data loss, including due to forgotten passphrases
• Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations

• You may terminate your account at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
• Upon termination, your files will be deleted after 30 days
• We may retain certain metadata as required by law
• Termination does not relieve payment obligations
• Export your data before termination - we cannot decrypt it after deletion

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Japan.
